ABOUT Savannah

Hi everyone! My name is Savannah Davis (also known as Savy) and I am a Junior at Frisco High School. This academic year, I will take part in the Independent Study and Mentorship (ISM) program for the topic of Dermatology. I am excited for ISM as it will present me with a variety of professional opportunities and improve my chance of success in the future. Personally, I am involved in a variety of clubs/organizations at Frisco High School such as National Honor Society (Vice President), Spanish National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Debate Club, Volunteer Opportunity Club (Secretary), Superposition Frisco (Executive Director of Graphic Design), Student Council (Junior Class President), and lastly Varsity Volleyball. Outside of school I enjoy playing club volleyball, working out, reading, hanging out with friends, and volunteering. After I graduate from Frisco High School, I would like to attend a university in the Northeastern United States area. I am considering majoring in Biology, Nursing, Psychology, or Sociology. Some schools I am considering are New York University, Boston College, and Fordham University. Afterwards, I plan on going to Physicians Assistant School for Dermatology.

My Mission Statement:

During my time in the Independent Study and Mentorship Program, my mission is to improve my professionalism and gain a deeper understanding on the medical practice of Dermatology. In addition, I am looking to expand my knowledge on dermatological skills and new innovations from a certified specialist. As I go through this stimulating experience, I ultimately expect to decipher if Dermatology will be my career path. Lastly, I aspire to gain real-world skills I can apply to future job opportunities in healthcare such as proper communication techniques, problem solving skills, and empathy.
